CENTRAL OFFICE CLASSROOM WEBPAGE UPDATES

The Board adopted Web Page Policy 3227/7322 at the March Board Meeting.

This policy replaces the more restrictive 648/648R which made it difficult to highlight student achievement (e.g. honor roll) and showcase student work online.

ESSENTIAL TO KNOW:

You can highlight/celebrate/publish student first and last name along with their work so long as the family has not opted out of publishing name and likeness in writing.

You can link to external Websites (e.g. Smore, Google Sites, etc.) and use them as your primary communication medium, just like you can use external social media tools (e.g. Instagram, Facebook, Remind, etc.) to communicate, with your building administrator's approval.

IMPORTANT TO ACKNOWLEDGE:

You and your students are the face of our organization, as well as its heart and soul. This policy better equips you to be able to celebrate and showcase student success, which we know helps foster more success! Given the overall net enrollment loss of approximately 300 students in each of the previous six years we also know celebrating and showcasing student success is a strategic responsibility we all share. We know our schools are providing the best learning opportunities available. Our families and prospective families should see and know it as well.

Thanks for all the AMAZING work you do and share.
