Hello and Welcome!

• • NC has been home for 30+ years, but I grew up in the Northeast and then Virginia. I've been teaching since 2010.

  • I love most things English--reading and writing (talking in front of people less so--irony!). Music, crochet, gardening, science fiction & fantasy are some of my jams.

  • It is my privilege to show up to school everyday and interact with the funny, smart, wonderful individuals who are my students. I want everything for them, but mostly that they have the tools to think critically about themselves, their experiences and their world, and to apply informed reasoning to their decision-making. It would be fabulous if they loved literature, too.

  • Moodle & Google Classroom are our LMSs.

• Education: Bachelor of Arts in English, Washington College; Master of Arts in English Language Literature, Washington University.

• Certifications: English 6-12; Social Studies & Science 6-9; Environmental Education.
