Content: Seventh grade science is centered around the organization of all things living and nonliving. We cover everything in the earth’s biosphere down to the smallest unit of matter, the atom. We will focus on how things are organized, their relationships with one another, and how it all fits together.
Unit 1: General Science (tools, measurement, process, safety)
Unit 2: Cells (types, structures, functions)
Unit 3: Human Body (what they are, what they do, how they work together)
Unit 4: Genetics (genetic information, predicting patterns, mutations, technology)
Unit 5: Matter (physical & chemical properties, changes, measurement)
Unit 6: Chemistry (atoms, elements, periodic table, mixtures, bonding)
Unit 7: Ecosystems (populations, ecosystems, soil, change)
Unit 8: Ecosystems (food webs, energy pyramids, balance, impact)
