In this video, you will learn how to manage all components of an Elementary Gradebook in Aeries.

Create Gradebook
Create Your Gradebook in 4 Easy Steps
- Add a Gradebook
Sign into Aeries
Select Pages
Select Gradebook
Select Add Gradebook
Select Term
Associate Class
Gradebook Name
Select Save
2. Setup Options Tab
Add Checkmark to Hide Dropped Students
Add Checkmark to Apply Assignment Scores Immediately
Add Checkmark to Display the Final Marks:
Me
Parents/Students
3. Setup Categories
Open Gradebook
Select Categories Tab
Select Add New Category
Add Color
Add Weighted Scoring (beneficial but optional)
Select Save
4. Manage Students
Open Gradebook
Select Manage Students
Select Add Students
Select Add All Students
Save Changes
MANAGE Gradebook Assignments
Create Assignments
Click on the gradebook.
Select the tab Assignments.
Click Add Assignment.
Type in the required information
Select Save and Close.
Edit Assignments
Select Manage Gradebook.
Click on the Assignment tab.
Find the assignment and select Edit.
Click Save and Close.
Delete Assignments
Select Manage Gradebook.
Click on the Assignment tab.
Find the assignment and select Edit.
Select Delete.
Click Save and Close.
Enter Scores Using Aeries
Manually Input Scores
Select Assignment.
Find the assignment.
Next to the student's name, type the score.
Use the arrow key to move down.
Mass Assign Scores
Click on Assignments.
Select the down arrow to show all assignment details.
Select Mass Assign Values.
Set value for the Number Correct.
Click Save Mass Changes.
Import Scores Using Google Classroom
Ensure the Following Google Classroom Assignment Settings Are In Place Prior To Import
Due Date
Graded and Returned
Google Classroom Point Value must match Aeries Assignment Point Value
Import Scores for Individual Assignment
Go to the Aeries Assignment.
Select the down arrow to show all details
Click on Import from Google.
Select the Google Classroom and assignment.
Click Confirm.
An error will appear if a student does not have a score. Scores for every other student will be imported.

Parent Portal View of Grades
Log into Parent Portal App
Select Grades Button
View Report Card
If parent has more than one student:
select name at the top
switch students
Student Portal View of Grades
Go to portal.bcsd.com
Enter Student BCSD Login Information
Select Sign in with Google
View Grades
Click on Class Name to View Assign
One Gradebook or Multiple
One Gradebook with Categories
BENEFITS
Gradebook can be grouped by categories
Can import assignments through 1 Google Classroom via Dashboard Import
Grades will show different subjects as categories
Ability to import grades into the report card
DISADVANTAGES
Unable to weight categories: All points must be mathematically determined by the assignment
Student/Parent portal is not intuitive - Grade results is not clear without filtering.

BENEFITS
Each grade will be calculated by the math functions in Aeries.
Ability to weight grades based on assignment types
Subject grades are clear and easy to understand for parents and students.
DISADVANTAGES
Importing from Google Classroom is not automatic and assignments must be created in Aeries prior to importing.
