Rotation 6: Engineering Design
This rotation will focus on engineering principles. Students will build structures. After building, they will draw and label their builds. Students will explore standard structure features that allow strength and stability.

This rotation will focus on Bridges. Students will build bridges using craft sticks. They will also learn about and build a truss bridge and a suspension bridge.

This rotation will focus on precision measuring. Students will use plans to draw an air skimmer. They will assemble and test their skimmer by the end of the week.

This rotation will focus on planning and building paper roller coasters in teams of three. Roller coasters will be tested for time using marbles.

This rotation will focus on isometric drawing (3D Drawing). Students will learning how to see and draw objects as an engineer does.

This rotation will focus on designing and building a paper airplane that will fly for distance. Students will then design and build an airplane launcher and test to see how far their planes will fly!
