Rotation 5
This rotation will focus on Drama and Theatre Arts. For the littles it is more role playing, body movement, and charades. As students get older the lesson becomes more focused on drama games, the stage, and the basics of working as a group or ensemble. There is a little bit of music, singing, dance and pantomime.
Arts : Rotation 5Rotation 4
This rotation will focus on creative dance and arts. For younger audiences, students will learn a simple dance from Denmark and how to draw and paint a Viking ship. For older students they will learn about the traditions of Korean culture and the Fan Dance and its significance. There will be an opportunity for students to prepare props for the dance. Fridays will culminate with a small, in class presentation.

This rotation will focus on creative self-portraits, Frida Kahlo style which is when an artists paints himself or herself and their personal characteristics to communicate a message. The focus will be on bringing personalization to the self-portraits, various modes of making a self-portrait, and use of bold colors. This is an art form used by many artists including Frida Kahlo, Vincent Van Gogh, Pablo Picasso, Andy Warhol.

This rotation will focus on pointillism, which is applying small strokes or dots of color that when it is seen from afar it blends together and forms an image. This is an art form used by many artists including George Seurat, Vincent VanGogh, and Howardina Pindel.

This week you can take the students on a journey through music, sound, movement, and creation! Students will learn a bit about orchestra instrument families and also body percussion. Then students will learn how that works with movement. The end result is a short routine with movement and self created music accompaniment. Enjoy and be creative!
