Become a Cultural Ambassador and Lead the Way!
Each Spring, the BCSC Friends of Miyoshi Committee will select one exceptional individual to become our next Miyoshi Ambassador for the upcoming school year. This is an unforgettable opportunity to represent BCSC in Japan, forge international friendships, and lead our efforts in strengthening our sister city bond with Miyoshi.
As the BCSC Miyoshi Ambassador, you will be asked to:
Commit to 3 years of engagement within the Friends of Miyoshi committee
Embark on an exciting journey to Miyoshi, Japan, as the official representative of our school district.
Take a leadership role within the Friends of Miyoshi Committee, chairing it in your second year as you guide our cultural initiatives.
Share your experiences and insights by presenting to the BCSC School Board.
To be considered for this amazing role, applicants must have a minimum of five years of experience with BCSC, and maintain a strong standing within the organization. This is an extraordinary opportunity to make a profound impact both locally and globally, while immersing yourself in an enriching cultural exchange with our sister city of Miyoshi.
The Friends of Miyoshi Ambassador role is a meaningful three-year commitment to both the Columbus and Miyoshi communities. Once selected for this remarkable honor, your first year will be dedicated to preparation. During this period, you will be guided by the outgoing Ambassador and supported by the Friends of Miyoshi Board, participating in activities designed to equip you for your role as Ambassador.
In your second year, you will officially take on the role of Ambassador, leading the team and preparing for your journey to Miyoshi, Japan. As the face of BCSC and the Columbus community, you will represent our city in this important cultural exchange.
Upon your return, your third year will mark a transition into a mentorship role. As the past Ambassador, you will mentor your successor, passing on your insights and experiences to ensure the continued success of this incredible program.
