Recover credit for a class you failed, or take a course for initial credit to free up your schedule during the school year.
CVP Summer School offers a supportive environment. Student success and completion of courses are a high priority.
The curriculum is engaging. All summer school courses are offered through Edmentum. These are video-based lessons that students work through at their own pace.
While all of the curriculum is delivered online, summer school students will have access to BCSC certified teachers if they need help!
All courses run from May 23 through July 3.
Open to all BCSC students in grades 9 - 12 for the 2024-2025 school year.
Students may enroll in up to 2 courses.
Please note: If this is the first time taking a course, it may take anywhere from 30-75 hours to complete (depending on the course). That means you must work several hours each day on the course to complete the course on time.
Courses must be approved by a student’s counselor before final enrollment is granted.
Students will receive their login information via their BCSC email. Make sure to use an email address that you check often.
May 23rd is the last day to enroll in Summer School.
If a student does not log in by May 31, 2024, the course(s) will be deactivated.
The CVP office will be closed on the following dates:
Monday, May 27th - Memorial Day
Wednesday, June 19th - Juneteenth
Thursday, July 4th - Independence Day
Friday, July 5th - Sunday, July 14th - Summer Break
Students may still access their summer coursework on those days if they choose to.
All courses end at 11:59 pm on July 3rd. There will be NO EXTENSIONS.
Grades will be recorded in Powerschool after course completion.
If a student does not complete, or fails, a course, there will be no penalty and no grade will be entered.

Establish a daily routine. You should expect to spend 2-3 hours per day, per class on your Edmentum this summer. Edmentum creates a plan and a pathway, putting in time daily allows you to stay on track to finish your courses on time!
Create a distraction-free learning space. Your learning environment is critical to your success, if you are distracted by TV, video games, or your phone, there is a good chance that you won’t retain as much information from the course. Find a space that allows you to focus on your school work.
Seek help when you need it. If you are struggling in a class, make sure you contact your Summer School teacher! You can find out who teaches your course on our Summer School website!
