James River District Champions for XC 2018
On 24 Oct 2018, seven members from the JROTC Raider team and three from the Buckingham XC Team were awarded the James River District XC Championship Trophy. This is the first time since 1998, that the XC Team was awarded the Championship Trophy for winning the James River District Championship. The seven runners that brought the JRD Championship Trophy home were Raiders, Tyler Moore, Dalton Stuple, Ian Martin, Grant Martin, DaQaun Tindall, James Moneymaker and former Raider, Ahren Reeves. The seven Raiders were trained as a Raider Team. The Raiders will continue to support Athletics as we continue to bring Championships to Buckingham County.

Track/Raiders at East Rockingham High School for State Track and Field Meet 1 June 2018
State Meet for 4x800 Meter held at East Rockingham High School Elkton, VA on 1 June 2018. L/R: Tyler Moore, DaQuan Tindall, Ian Martin and Dalton Stuple. The 4x800 Meter Team placed 9th overall out of 17 Teams for their first appearance at State and set a new Buckingham County HS record with a time of 9 minutes and 4 seconds.

Press release for the Farmville Herald: Congratulations to the Girls Cross Country Team for winning the JRD Championship today at Randolph-Henry !! Sgt. Bruce Grazier was named the JRD Coach of the Year ! Our girls won the JRD for the second straight year ! Girls named to the all-District Team were : Rylynn Morris, Caroline Browning, Paulette Battle, Logan Ragland, Lindsey Tobias, and Adele Sayer ! Congratulations !
Congratulations to our Boys Team as they finished as James River District Runner-Ups. The following boys were named to the All-District Team : Alex Boyles, Jacson Clough, and Ben Dorrier. Congratulations !
Finally, both teams will advance to the Region 2B Championships on Wednesday - Nov.1, 2023 at Luray High School at 3:30pm. More information as we get closer to that date.
