Sustainability at City Schools is guided by the Blueprint for Success: student wholeness, literacy, and staff leadership. We are focused on accelerating and personalizing learning while enriching academic, athletic, and artistic opportunities, supporting well-being, and fostering strong relationships and trust. Underpinning all of our work is Policy ADA Equity which directs us to remove and actively repair racial inequities to ensure positive educational outcomes for children.
Our Sustainability Plan is the implementing document for Policy ADG Sustainability and supports the Blueprint, the district’s equity goals, and the Portrait of a Graduate competencies.
We seek to reduce our ecological footprint, increase environmental awareness, equip students for sustainability-related jobs, and connect students and staff to nature. We hope all staff will integrate sustainable practices in their teaching and daily work.
We look forward to working with you to bring the plan to fruition! Contact us with ideas, suggestions, or questions. Green@bcps.k12.md.us.
