Welcome to week 2 of virtual learning! Seeing your children’s excited faces was a fantastic way to start the school year and it was great getting to see everyone getting to know each other as we settle into the school year. Thanks you for all of your help, support, and patience as we learned new passwords, introduced clever, and started zooming. Your continued support will help us continue our virtual learning program to maximize your children’s learning.

This week your children will continue to learn about and perfect their understanding of the virtual tools that they will use on a daily basis. They will also be introduced to the learning videos that will accompany their synchronous learning experiences in both reading and math. These videos will work together with synchronous learning to introduce new concepts, provide practice, and reinforce skills taught during zoom sessions. We will also host our grade level orientations to give you a chance to learn more about the content of your children’s grade level. Below is our schedule for the orientations. Please let us know if you have any questions or can help in any way. Have a fantastic Week 2!

Greetings Families and Students!

We are so excited to kick off the 2020-2021 School Year and get back to school! We have missed all of you over the summer and can’t wait to start our learning today. We have worked hard over the summer to streamline our systems and processes for today’s virtual start. Our teachers will be working with you throughout the week to introduce you to our new learning tools. We have redeveloped our website to include more resources and opportunities for communication with the staff. If there is anything that I can do to help please let us know. You can email or call me directly at bwrightson@bcps.k12.md.us or call at 410-967-5294. We continue to be truly grateful for the chance to learn and grow with your children this year. I wish everyone a fantastic first day that is full of time spent getting to know your teachers and classmates.
