Joining KLU 

Requirements for Membership

There are three requirements that a public library must meet to join KLU:

1.  Be located in and serve a population in Kentucky

2. Have an annual circulation under 1 million items at the time of induction into KLU

3. Pay the annual Hosting fee to OverDrive, which consists of both membership fees (for OverDrive) and content credit (for buying items for the consortium)  The hosting fees are determined by Total Circulation as reported on the State Annual report at time of induction on a 4 tier system

New Members also pay a one time $500 set-up fee to OverDrive when they join
