What is B Lab and the B Corp movement?
B Lab is a global network of non-profit organisations which support the growth and strength of the B Corp movement. B Lab is creating a global movement of businesses (B Corps), that aim to be the best for the world not just the best in the world. B Lab Europe is a Dutch "Stichting" (a non-profit organisation) based in Amsterdam and is the lead B Lab partner for the B Corp Way programme.
What are B Corps?
B Corps are businesses that measure and manage their social and environmental impact with the same rigour as their financial returns. These companies have met the highest standards as assessed by B Lab and have locked in their commitment to using business as a force for good into their company articles. There are over 6,000 B Corps across 77 countries and 153 industries. All are committed to the same unifying goal – to enable and inspire people to use business as a force for good.
What is B Lab’s overarching purpose?
The goal of the global B Corp movement is to redefine success in business, by certifying and supporting companies who exemplify the change to a stakeholder economy, in which the proceeds of businesses serve to create a shared and durable prosperity for all, not just a few.
Why was B Corp Way created?
B Lab has witnessed an increasing interest from larger, complex international companies in the B Corp movement. For many large and multinational companies, business model transformation takes time and requires considerable support. To address this, B Lab has developed B Corp Way to draw on the expertise that sits within our existing community and extended networks. The platform connects B Corp certified consultants with the businesses that require their support, and is anchored in B Lab methodology.
Who can apply for B Corp Way?
A B Corp (or a consortium group including at least one B Corp) with the ability to service large and multinational organisations within the European region and can provide services in one of our current or newly proposed offerings.
What is the closing date for submitting the expression of interest?
We will accept applications up to 15th December 2022.
Can I submit a consortium expression of interest?
If you are submitting an expression of interest in conjunction with another party, or with the intention in future of working with another party to deliver this, then please specify the likely partner (or type of partner) you seek to work with, and nominate one person as the preferred contact person on the submission form.
What are the fees?
Should your firm be accepted to feature within any one of the offerings on the B Corp Way platform, an annual fee of €1,000 will be charged. An additional fee of €500 will apply for each additional service offering that a partner wishes to be included in, up to an overall maximum of €2,500 per annum.
Note: B Lab Europe does not operate any kind of revenue share model with it's partners and as such does not have any financial interest in any working relationship formed between its partners and a third party enterprise that results from a connection made via the B Corp Way platform.
