The Donkey Driver's Map

Use the side bar to turn layers on or off and to check the legend. The three layers with titles starting with “Districts” and “Subdistricts” indicate regions, castle regions, and city regions. When the three are turned on simultaneously, they show the administrative geography of the Levant during the Mamluk period. The layer entitled “Equids” shows the locations of equid archeological remains from the period. The layer entitled “Khans” shows the locations of inns.
