Dr. van de Water has had over 8 undergraduate research fellows (UGRFs) since 2021. UGRFs support at least one research study, and often gain experience supporting data entry, manuscript or grant writing, and data analysis (quantitative or qualitative). If students stay in the lab for multiple years, most students are able to present research locally, regionally, nationally, or internationally, as well as co-author abstracts and manuscripts.
Dr. van de Water is accepting new doctoral students to advise and mentor internally and externally. Predoctoral students have completed fellowships with Dr. van de Water (supported through the CSON PhD Fellowship Program) and have worked independently on individual projects, as well as dissertation advising and mentoring. Dr. van de Water is pleased to have a conversation about working together prior to applying and/or being admitted as a PhD student at Boston College William F. Connell School of Nursing.
Currently, Dr. van de Water has one postdoctoral fellow, and is not accepting any new postdoctoral fellows. Postdoctoral fellows are primarily supported through grant funded studies and support all aspects of study and data management, data analysis, manuscript, and grant preparation. Each postdoctoral fellow position is developed collaboratively between the PI and fellow based on the needs of the study and skills of the individual.
