ESOL

Every day during lockdown a slideshow is made available to children who attend ESOL support lessons at BBPS. This slideshow includes interesting information about different aspects of the English language and fun facts about a variety of topics to do with New Zealand. It supports children to further develop their understanding of English and life in New Zealand. It includes links to games and videos that relate to the content of the slideshow. If your child receives ESOL support at school, you should be receiving the slideshow each day. If you prefer that your child does not receive these please let me know - the slideshows are only intended for people who would like a little extra support with learning at home.

If you would like online readers at your child's current reading level please let me know and I will arrange for daily readers to be set. Also, if you would like online books in your child's first language I am happy to provide details of popular websites. Finally, if there is anything else that I can do to support your child during lockdown or assist them with their online learning, you are very welcome to email me diana@bbps.school.nz.
