Online Discussion

Online Discussion is a interacting with students via text. Chat in Gmail is one way to interact with students, or creating Question in Google Classroom. It is a good way of engaging students in discussions who do not feel comfortable or are hesitant to participate. Below are two methods for having online discussions.

Question in Classroom

Notes

  1. When in the Classwork tab, click on the Create button and choose question.

  2. There are several features in the right pane to consider when posting a Question to your class.

What You’ll Need

  1. Laptop, Chromebook, or desktop.

  2. Access to Google Classroom.

What Students Need

  1. Laptop, Chromebook, or desktop.

  2. Be signed into your G-Suite account.

  3. Be in the correct Google Classroom.

  2. History of chat is stored, so what you or students say are recorded and can be searched.
