The app called Google Drive

The Google Drive App is a versatile tool can be in a lot of ways. When signed into your account you have access to all your content which includes files, images, movies, forms...everything. Your cloud based files are alway available.

What Can I do with the Drive App?

What exactly can one do with the app?

  • Have to make a Doc, Slides, or Sheets in a hurry and share? You can do that.

  • Need to create a folder to organize your content. You can do that.

  • Need to upload images or movies from your phone to Drive? You can do that.

  • Need to take a picture or record a video and put it right into Drive exactly where you want it?

Use the Google Drive app to record a video of yourself and share

Maybe your thinking, "I know I can use my phone to record video, but how do I get it to students and parents?" Fair question. I have a solution, a mathematical solution. Phone + Google Drive app = Sharing. How you say, or really that is an ask. Watch the video; it's short. The basics are this:

  1. Download the Google Drive (App Store / Play Store) app if you don't already have it.

  2. Connect your bbhcsd account.

  3. Tap the plus button in the bottom right hand corner.

  4. Click Use Camera and swipe to Video.

  5. Record your video and upload it to Drive.

  6. Share the video to Gmail or Classroom.

Seriously, watch the video; it demonstrates the process step-by-step.

Did you know you could send the video and/or messages to parents and students via Progressbook? Check out the Communications page to learn how to send email via Progressbook.

BTW: The app I used to record the video on my phone is Record It! which works well for iPhone. Screen Recorder & Video Recorder - XRecorder is a highly rated app on Play Store you Android users can use to screen record.
