Students choosing to take 8th-grade PAINTING & PRINTMAKING have an interest in learning more about Painting Expressively, and learning how to use various techniques and color strategies. Many of these approaches to image making can be used to make Relief Prints and Monotypes using an Etching Press.
Skills include: Basic drawing from life, developing abstract images, using color strategies, using the Principles of Design for Composition, and learning printmaking techniques. Drawing & envisioning skills are developed with sketchbook exercises and exploration of master and contemporary.
