Dinner with Jazz Fundraiser Details
MS Jazz Band Plays starting at 6pm! Doors open at 5:30 for students to set up for our portion of the performance.
BRING YOUR MUSIC and your instrument
Attire for students: Black pants, black shirt, or black dress. Any color ties, accessories

MS plays from 6-6:35. Students can eat pizza and salad provided by MS PSO after their performance. Students will sit in the performers seating area to eat and watch the HS Jazz Ensemble.
HS Jazz will play from 6:45-7:40

2024 MS Jazz Band Audition Info
The Middle School Jazz Band is an audition based, after school activity available for 6th, 7th and 8th grade students. There are typically 2-3 required performances for the group in the second semester of the school year. Students in this group have an opportunity to learn the basics of jazz improvisation and the culture of jazz music through performance and listening. Instruments in Jazz Band: Saxophone, Trombone, Trumpet, Tuba* Bass, Guitar, Piano, and Drums.
Jazz Band rehearses in the band room after school from 2:50-3:30 on Mondays and Wednesdays
Audition Info:
Music for the audition can be found in the band room on Monday, December 18th
Audition Dates- Wednesday, January 10th- 2:45- 3:45 & Thursday, January 11th 2:45- 3:45
Auditions can be done by yourself or with a partner of the SAME instrument
Expectations:
All students that are signed up for the BBHMS Jazz Band are expected to be at rehearsals. If there is a conflict, please email Mr. Hanna.
Students are required to bring their music to all rehearsals. Folders are provided.
Rhythm section students need to help with set-up of their instruments and put them away at the end of rehearsals.
Proper rehearsal etiquette and respect for others is expected
