End of the School Year Info!
Band Camp Week One 5/21 to 5/24
Here is the schedule for Band Camp
5/21 is Leadership Only from 3 to 4:30 pm (NO 8th Graders)
5/22 through 5/24 is Everyone from 3 to 5 pm.
5/22-Marching Fundamentals
5/23-Marching Fundamentals, playing and moving
5/24-Marching Fundamentals, box drill, Memorial Day Parade practice
Memorial Day Parade 5/27 (OPTIONAL BUT STRONGLY ENCOURAGED!!)
I am still waiting for final details, but here is the generic gameplan:
Students will begin the day and also end the day at the high school. We will bus from the band room to Brecksville, then travel to Broadview Heights, and finally return back to BBH.
ATTIRE: Red Marching Band Shirt and Black Shorts
CALL TIME : 7:30 am
LOAD TIME: 7:45 am
LEAVE BBHHS: 8:00 to 8:10 am
BRECKSVILLE PARADE
We need to arrive between 8:30-8:45 am, as the parade starts at 9 am sharp.
8th Grade Band Members will be bussed back to the HS Band Room after this Ceremony to go home. The rest of the HS Band will go to the Broadview Height Parade.
New Members Parent Meeting on June 3rd
We will hold our new members parent meeting on June 3rd at 6:00 PM.
Final Band Booster Meeting on June 3rd
The final band booster meeting will be on June 3rd at 7:00 PM. It will be a pot luck dinner. Details to come out soon from the Band Boosters.
May 21st Final Band Concert!
Our final band concert for the school year will be held on Tuesday, May 21st. Our 8th grade concert will be with the BBHES 5th grade band and will be held at 6pm! The 6th and 7th grade band concert will be the same evening but starting at 7:30 pm.
Students arrive at 5:45pm

Concert starts at 6:00pm and should conclude around 6:45 pm
March 19th Band Concert!
Our March Band Concert will be at 7pm on Tuesday, March 19th. This concert will feature our MS Jazz Band, 6th Grade Band, 7th Grade Band and 8th Grade Band.
Jazz Band students will meet on the stage front at 6:45 pm
Jazz Band members typically wear all black
6th Grade Band members will meet on stage at 6:40 pm
7th and 8th Grade Band members will get their instruments and music and sit in the auditorium seats at 6:45 pm
Concert Dress for Boys: Collared shirt (long or short sleeve), slacks, dress shoes and dress socks (please no jeans or tennis shoes!). A colorful necktie or bowtie is not required, but is most certainly welcome! All attire must conform to the BBHCSD dress code.
Concert Dress for Girls: Dress / skirt / slacks with a blouse / sweater and dress shoes (please no jeans, high heels or tennis shoes!). All attire must conform to the BBHCSD dress code. Please make sure that shoulders are covered. Girls should be especially mindful that they will be seated and elevated during their performance, so special consideration should be given to dress/skirt length while sitting.
8th Grade Band Updates!
Good Afternoon 8th Grade Band Students and Families!
Our Cedar Point Performance is on Saturday, May 11th! We do not have exact times but it will be an all day event. Please read and fill out the Cedar Point Interest Form here: Cedar Point Interest Form
Students have completed the HS Band/8th Grade Band Assessment this past week. If they did not complete it in time to submit it on the google form, please email me the assignment in order to get credit!!
Band Camp pre camp will be 5/21 to 5/24 from 3 to 5. This is directly after school.
5/21 is just leadership (no 8th graders)
5/22 is leadership and New Bees (8th)

5/24 is All
5/27 is the Memorial Day Parade. We are going to invite our 8th grade/New Bees to march with us!!! While it is not a requirement, it is an amazing opportunity for our 8th grade band members to make the transition to a Marching Bee!! More details to come!
Holiday Concert- December 20th at 7pm in the MS Auditorium

Please to not bring food or drink into the new auditorium. We want to keep it looking new as long as we can!
Part of the students concert assessment is their audience etiquette. Please be respectful to the groups performing and silence your phones, stay seated while students are playing and being mindful that all families are there to support and see their child perform!
8th Grade Band Night with the Marching Bees!!!- Friday, September 8th
Here are the details to the upcoming the Friday Night Football Game:

8TH grade band members will be joining the Marching Bees on the field to perform our National Anthem, the Alma Mater and 1 song during the Halftime Show with the Marching Bees at the Bees football game! Students will be in the band stands for the whole game to experience what it is like to be a "Marching Bee"
(Parents, pregame begins around 6:40 when we will be performing our National Anthem)
Your T-shirt for the game will be passed out upon arrival in the auditorium. Students should plan to wear long black pants or jeans. Please no color! Students need to wear closed toed shoes on the turf. When students arrive, students will receive their free band t-shirt. Depending on weather, students may want to plan to wear a long sleeve black shirt or hoodie underneath their t-shirt. Students are also welcome to bring a bag with additional items such as money for the concession stand! Don’t forget to bring your instrument and music as well!
Drop-off: 5:45 pm / Pick-Up 9:45 pm (approx.- we will send a remind when the game has concluded)
Both Drop-off and Pickup will be at the High School Band Room (DOOR H)
Parents: the drop-off/pick-up point is in the back parking lot past the high school. The band room is on the South side of the high school (as you look at the front of the high school, it is on the far LEFT). There is an exterior door, labeled entrance “H,” that leads directly to the high school band room. Students will then be directed to the stage from there.
