What is Morning Meeting?
Morning Meeting is a meeting that happens everyday, first thing in the morning. We come together to work on building a positive classroom community through learning social and emotional strategies to make us stronger people. Morning Meeting is led by Ms. Goldsworthy and Mrs. Morder On Friday's one of our students conducts the meeting from start to finish!
There are four components to our meeting: Greeting, Share, Message, and Activity. Here are a few samples:
Greeting- Handshake/pass the wink/create a secret handshake with a partner
Share- Tell us about a time when......when was a time that you showed empathy for someone else?
Message- This is a special message written to the class by Ms. Goldsworthy and Mrs. Morder. On Fridays' our Leader writes the message.
Activity- Follow The Leader, Rocks-Paper-Scissors championship, We're Going on a Picnic, who's missing?
