Cultural Day 2019

Culturals Day 2019 "Safarnama - The Retro Gala" was the first of its kind in the Department of Management Studies. There was a wide range of cultural vistas lined up for not just the students but for the faculty as well. The event was nothing short of fun and entertainment. From Gully boys to Amitabh Bachchan and tik tok videos to Bollywood and food quiz, Culturals day provided a platform for an exclusive show like never before.

Procession 2019

The In – Bloom procession marks the beginning of the final stage, where the Blossoms winners bring laurels to the university. The theme for the procession was “The Age of the Empire.” While various departments displayed their stories and empires through their creativity, the Department of Management Studies was nothing short of a spectacular vista. From the reign of the Mauryan empire, the simplicity of the Gupta empire, the royalties of the Mughal empire and the crown of the British empire, the department exhibited every detail and put up a successful show.

Blossoms 2018

It is that time of the year, when tunes paint a canvas of vibrant performances, where frolic events light up the evenings, while moments are subtly captured by our passionate lens. The Department of Management Studies and Hotel Management proudly bring to you the most festive time of the year, where trials are transformed into participation and winners as the torch bearers of the department.

Welcome to BLOSSOMS 2018, an intra-departmental competition and the predecessor to In-Bloom. It is an amalgamation of various cultural events, all falling under Art, Literary, Stage, Theatre and Photography. The winners of each of these events, will be representing their deanery in In-Bloom. The finest among the fittest are declared winners of the whole fest, and are endowed with the ‘Deanery Cup’.

Management Premier League is an intra-departmental cricket tournament based on an auction system. The students from the Department of Management Studies and Hotel Management take part in trials and are later auctioned into various teams.

The Sports Organizing Committee welcomes you to the Management Premier League 2018. Brace yourselves to witness the fusion of passion, persistence, willpower, sportsmanship and young blood creating history on the pitches of Christ (Deemed to be University)!

Bid and Build is an annual competition conducted by the Entrepreneurship Cell of the Department of Management Studies. It aims to develop creative thinking and presentation skills of students. The participants are required to bid for resources and create innovative products using them. The theme for Bid & Build 2018 was ‘Make in India’.

Esprit 2018

The Crevasse Matrix

There have been many and WILL be many that will doubt you: Welcome to the destination of redemption.

Esprit has always been one of the more challenging landscapes in the festing circuit, one in which the best colleges across the country participate. It provides and experience to the participants which makes them feel as close to the corporate world as possible in the college environment.

The theme for this year is “The Crevasse Matrix”. It provides you with a unique opportunity to look into the future. The current world scenario has made one thing abundantly clear: there is a paucity of resources and an abundance of ideas.

The advent of smart cities has become the order of the day in order to promote sustainable living. As a business professional, there will be many hurdles that one will face.

Today we only see a glimpse of what technology could eventually do in the future environment. Corporates across the globe are undertaking a journey through unchartered waters to form a vision for the future and change the world as we know it.

Keystone 2018

Keystone is one of the leading pillars of the Entrepreneurship-Cell, Department of Management Studies. It is an annual event encouraging budding entrepreneurs to showcase their creativity and innovation envisaging all business skills.Its a platform where students are given an opportunity to put in practice all the business concepts and theories by setting up stalls, marketing, and selling their products at the university campus to ensure substantial generation of profits. Students get a practical experience on developing skills like product pricing, marketing, financial management, strategizing and much more.

This year the event was organized on 5 September 2018 and 17 stalls were put. The stalls were spread across the Campus Road and witnessed an enthusiastic participation from all the Christities which not only helped in boosting sales but also made this event a great success.

VISTAS 2018

THE CORPORATE VORTEX

The premise of the entire theme of this years Vistas revolves around a concept called ‘entropy’. The concept of entropy states that the universe is constantly moving into disorganization. For example, consider the process of evaporation. Keeping a cup of water outside for long enough will inevitably lead to evaporation. Similarly, animals and trees around us eventually wither out too. Entropy has been happening since the Big Bang, which in itself was a massive discharge of energy. To put it in a nutshell, entropy creates constant disorganization and chaos in the universe.

Among all this disorganization, the concept of life seems quite contradictory. Life is essentially an ‘organization’ of cells, which is the opposite of what happens in the environment. So, the fact that life can exist despite such conditions makes it much more impressive.
