For our Preschool program dancers in Itty Bitty, Teeny Tiny Tots, Tiny Tots, Mini Pop and Tiny Tumbling classes

Each year we hold a special concert exclusively for our preschool dancers who participate in Itty Bitty Ballet, Teeny Tiny Tots, Tiny Tots, Tiny Tumbling and Mini Pop classes. This year our concert theme is:

Journey to Imaginationland

Performing is an exciting part of being a dancer and our concert is a highlight of the year. It might feel a bit daunting as a parent of a pre-school aged child, but we can assure you that it is usually mum and dad who are more anxious than the dancer!

All our preschool classes will work on their concert dance during Term 3 & 4 as part of their classes. While participation is not compulsory, we encourage all dancers to participate as the concert gives our students the opportunity to showcase everything they have learn in front of family and friends. 

Each class performs a dance, with the help of their teachers. Some of our "big girls" will also perform as a special treat!  

How do I pay my dancers' Concert Package?

To make life easy, we've included a $69 deposit for your dancers' Concert Package on your Term 3 invoice. If you don't wish to participate, please email us at hello@baysidedance.com.au to have it removed from your Term 3 invoice prior to the invoice due date. Please note that because of ordering timelines, we are not able refund your Concert Package if you change your mind. The balance of the deposit will be due with your Term 4 invoice. 

Do I need to book a ticket for my dancer?

YES! When booking your tickets to the show, you will need to book a ticket for your dancer so that they have their own seat with your party. You won't have to pay for it when booking tickets - it's already covered as part of your dancer's concert package.  

Who else do I book tickets for?

Everyone in your group, including children (babies under 1 included). There must be a seat available for every human in the theatre. Kids under 2 years old are free. 

Can I choose where I sit?

Yes, you can.  

Someone in my group needs wheelchair access

Wheelchair accessible seating will be confirmed prior to tickets going on sale. 

How many tickets can I book?

As many as you like! Make sure you book a ticket for your dancer so that they have a seat with you as well. 

What if my dancer is sick on the day?

If your dancer is unwell on the day, they should not attend. If this is the case, please email us and we'll arrange a refund of your tickets purchased (we cannot refund the Concert Package). 

What does my dancer wear?

For dancers in Teeny Tiny Tots, Tiny Tots, Mini Pop and Tiny Tumbling your concert package includes all the elements of your dancer's costume, which is to be worn with their regular class shoes (ballet shoes for Teeny Tiny Tots and Tiny Tots, black jazz shoes for Mini Pop and no shoes for Tiny Tumbling). No makeup is required and long hair is in two pigtails. If your dancer's hair is too short for pigtails or if you have a male dancer, style their hair as best suits them. 

Dancers in Itty Bitty Ballet should wear their own dance clothes just as they wear to class each week, with ballet shoes and their provided headband.

My dancer is in Itty Bitty Ballet, are they doing the concert?

Yes! We will invite our Itty Bitty Ballet dancers to participate in the end of year concert. Keep an eye on your emails for all of the  information for our youngest performers.

Is there a rehearsal day?

No, we are not holding any rehearsals for our preschoolers. Our teachers will dance with each class to help them feel comfortable on stage. 

Is the concert filmed?

Yes! Everyone will receive a copy of the video (allow 6-8 weeks for editing). We send you the video directly via a link. Participation in the concert means you agree for your dancer to be filmed and photographed. 

I have a dancer or dancers in multiple age groups! Help!
