SCHEDULING & TRANSPORTATION

Bay works closely with the Presidio Trust, SF Rec and Park, the Presidio YMCA, and a number of other partners for access to field and gym space in and around the Presidio. Students will typically change clothes at school and walk to their practice facilities.

Field and gym space in the Presidio and throughout San Francisco is shared among many organizations, so practice and game times may vary week to week. Families will be informed of any last-minute scheduling changes. Check MyBay for the most up-to-date schedule.

PRESIDIO ATHLETIC FACILITIES

Ft. Scott Field

Practice field for boys and girls soccer and lacrosse teams, practice and game field for softball team. Operated by the Presidio Trust, Bay has access to this grass field on Mondays and Wednesdays. Closures do to take place because of rain and field maintanance.

Letterman Gym

Home volleyball and basketball gym for practices and games, operated by the YMCA. Bay usually has regular access to this facility, with the exception of YMCA basketball leagues (usually offered in January and February) and summer camps which can limit access.

Paul Goode Field

University High School home soccer, baseball, softball and lacrosse fields. Bay has limited access to this field for practices and games.

Infantry Terrance & Bowling Alley Courts

Three practice tennis courts operated by the YMCA.

Presidio Wall

Four tennis courts operated by SF Rec and Park for practices and JV matches.

Presidio Golf Course

Home golf course for practices and matches.

St. Francis Yacht Club

Practice facility for sailing team.

Parade Grounds

Green space across from Bay used for track and cross-country teams

TRANSPORTATION

Bay provides transportation for all student athletes to and from venues outside of the Presidio for all practices and games on school days. If there is a practice or game on a non-school day, students are expected to provide their own transportation unless specifically requested by a coach.

NEW - Students can now arrive to practices only on their own - not required to take Bay provided transportation. Carpooling only allowed with written permission from driver's and passenger's parents/guardians.

Students are expected to travel as a team on school-provided transportation to all games outside of the Presidio that take place before 5 p.m. Exceptions can only be made under extenuating circumstances with written consent from a parent/guardian and approval of the athletic department and coach, at least one day in advance.

For any practices and games that take place after 5 p.m., students are allowed to travel on their own to the facility, with coach permission. Please communicate any intentions to not use team provided transportation at least one day in advance to both the coaches and athletic department.

Variety of school provided transportation includes vans driven by Bay coaches and staff, school buses or charter buses. Type of transportation is determined by the school’s transportation vendor and based on availability.
