BAY Centre Thanks

Fire doors

The BAY centre would like to thank Paul Case from P.C. Carpentry for generously donating his time and expertise to sort out our fire doors.

The photo shows Paul adjusting the cafe fire door. He also sealed up the double fire doors to close the gap that we have had since the doors were first installed and adjusted the front doors as their constant use had left them misaligned.

In the new year, Paul will be replacing the fron doors and adding an outside lock to the Training room fire door. When we had the recent problem with the front door locks breaking, we found that we had no other way to get inside the building. It was decided to install a lock and entry system on the Training room fire door.

Ball court waste

The Bay Centre would like to thank James Presdee of Sedgemoor District Council for finding us a street waste bin for our ball court. As can be seen in the photo, it is a large solid bin which is lockable.

The lack of a waste bin for the ball court was causing us problems as a large amount of empty bottles, food packaging and general rubbish had accumulated in the ball court and surrounding area.

He also provided us with plenty of black bags for the waste bin and was also kind enough to have it delivered to the BAY Centre.

The BAY Centre would also like to thank the following local schools -

King Alfreds, Churchfield, St. Andrews, St. Josephs

They have agreed to inform all their pupils who use the ball court that a waste bin is available and to encourage them to use it.

Front door

The BAY Centre would like to thank Paul Case from P.C Carpentry for generously donating his time and expertise to assess the damage to our front door lock.

On Friday 19th August we had a disaster when the front door locking mechanism completely broke. it was kaput, it had locked its last door. Paul came out of hours at a moment's notice to diagnose the problem and tell us what needed repairing.
