What's Next?

Tentative Timeline

• April: Identified Construction Management Firm-Story Construction out of Ames.
• May-June: Posted RFP for architectural firm submissions, screen firms, interview firms, and take board action to approve architectural firm.
• June-July: Identify project team (consultants), i.e. Civil, Structural, and Mechanical Engineers; send out community input survey; hold initial BCSD Facility/Project Committee Meeting; and offer public community tours of our 1916 and 1924 buildings.
• July-September: Conduct program/project investigation; begin the schematic design phase; work through the design development phase; hold public forums to share progress with community; begin marketing campaign for the bond referendum on Dec. 4; and navigate through budget meetings for each phase to establish a comprehensive construction project cost.
• October-November: Work through the construction document phase; and continue bond campaign.
• December: Bond Referendum Vote (Dec. 11).
• February: Bid Letting
• March 2019-May 2020: Construction Administration
