There are lots of things to do nearby. Bawley Point is ten minutes away, with its beaches and other facilities and there are lots of other destinations to enjoy.
Beaches and surf: the Bawley Coast boasts several gorgeous beaches. From North to South….
Willinga Point/ North Beach - turn left as you come into Bawley and there is a dead end and parking area leading to a wonderfully wild beach, with a creek, giving onto a national park.
Bawley Beach - itself is next and priceless, with the recently renovated Gantry - great for jumping into the water! And handily close to Luci’s cafe.
Cormorant and Gannet Beaches - these are the next 2 beaches south, are beautiful and are both dog beaches.
Racehorse Beach - on the way to Kioloa, this is a beautiful, long beach with a shallow lagoon at the north end
Murramarang Beach - brings you close to the Aboriginal area and opposite Brush Island Nature Reserve. You can join the Murramarang Aboriginal Walking Track from here.
Pebbly Beach - a bit further south, towards Durras, this is to die for - no pebbles strangely but beautiful and often enjoyed by kangaroo.
Surfing - we are not experts….but we have heard the Guillotines surf break at Bawley Point is great, Sandmines Beach near Kioloa is popular and North Durras is good in certain conditions, plus you’ve got the beautiful Narrawallee to the North. We’ve got a surfboard and a boogie board you can borrow!
Bush and trail walking:
Pretty Beach lives up to its name. Follow the walking track from Pretty Beach to Snapper Point and be rewarded with beautiful coastal views.
Rainforest walk near Depot Beach is lovely with a chance of seeing a lyrebird!
Meroo Lake just to the north has a lovely walking track plus you can do a loop walk to Meroo and back from Bawley Point
Murramarang National Park, mentioned above, has several walking trails
Pidgeon House Mountain has a wonderful walking trail.
On the water:
There is paddle-board hire at Burrill Lake and you are spoiled for choice when it comes to fishing - try the lakes (Meroo, Burrill, Willinga) plus there is the Gantry at Bawley Beach and also a great spot for fishermen at Racecourse Beach.
Other places to visit:
Wineries: as well as Cupitt’s winery in Ulladulla, try our local Bawley Vale Estate. They are open for wine-tastings (you need to book)on Sundays and are dog-friendly.
Local Honey and Art: pop into Beewise Honey at 135 Tallawalla Way in Termeil for some delicious local honey (some of which you will have in the basket of goods we’ve left for you) and also beeswax products and while you’re there have a wander around the Lyrebird Gallery, run by owner and local artist Linda Lees.
Willinga Park is an extraordinary equestrian centre on a grand scale, and to be found at 134 Forster Drive Bawley Point. Check their website for events and open days, but even driving past the entrance is worth it - look through the gate at the sculpture and incredible landscaping.
