We finished up Chapter 6 (division) and are working on Chapter 7 (area and perimeter). If you are behind, chapters seven and eight allow you to catch up by simultaneously working on the old and the newly assigned lessons. Chapter 7 is a review of area and perimeter, and Chapter 8 includes factorization, which we have already practiced a bit in class.
So...for this week:
Finish up Chapter 7, Lessons 7.1, 7.2, 7.3, and 7.4 if you haven't already
Begin Chapter 8, Lessons 8.1, 8.2, 8.3, and 8.4 (We will continue this chapter the week we get back from winter break)
IXL Suggested Skills: These will appear on your student's IXL dashboard. You could also enter the 3-digit code directly into the IXL magnifying glass in the upper right hand corner of your IXL home screen. (Chapter 8: Lesson 1: 2S9, 2XJ, Lesson 2: ENC, URL, Lesson 3: L9R, TNF, Lesson 4: 5P2, QHB, C9H)

*There will be a super short division quiz on December 15/16
**Beginning in January, we will be including 30 minutes of IXL Math Practice weekly as part of their grade. More info to come.
