All math resources are posted in Google Classroom weekly.
Another great week...woohoo!
In class, students have been working on writing numbers in standard, word, and expanded form. They compared numbers moving from left to right, learned how to build a factor bridge, and worked on the IXL Diagnostic.
For this week, please work on the following:
GoMath Chapter 1, Lesson 4; Review pages are optional (we will work on some of these in class to prepare for a Chapter 1 Quiz)
GoMath Chapter 2, Lessons 1 and 2
IXL Suggested Skills: These will appear on your student's IXL dashboard. You could also enter the 3-digit code directly into the IXL magnifying glass in the upper right hand corner of your IXL home screen. (Ch. 1, Lesson 4: QV7, XVJ; Ch. 2, Lesson 1 D9E, XKZ; Ch. 2, Lesson 2, DWQ, M8W)
Parents, if you find the four pages of instruction in the workbook to be too cumbersome, I've included a PDF of the Reteach pages for you to use in your instruction at home. These pages concisely teach the concept in only half of a page. I still, however, need students to complete problems on the Practice/Homework pages. If they can complete all of the problems on the practice pages, that would be great. But, if it's a struggle and you'd like to reduce the amount, you may at your discretion. Just please complete all of the spiral problems on the back of the practice page.
Work on fact fluency using flashcards, dice, cards...whatever it takes :)
