Thank you for welcoming me into the River family these past two years! I have enjoyed getting to know the staff, families, and beautiful Pacific Northwest region!

A little about me: I grew up next to Jet Propulsion Laboratory in La Canada, California, where my dad was a NASA engineer for over forty years. 

I attended college in Orange County, Southern California, and spent fifteen years in bookkeeping/accounting before changing direction and becoming a teacher. I've been in education for over twenty years now.

I'll be celebrating my 37th anniversary shortly and have two grown children, one grandson, and one granddaughter...definitely the highlights of my life!

I love teaching and am grateful each and every day for the privilege to work with kids and their families!

The usual things I like to do in my spare time: hike, camp, read, garden, family, friends

...and the not so usual things: textile art, woodburning, anything out of the ordinary
