The Fellows’ Network is a group of instructional leaders convened by the Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI) and the Association of Educational Service Districts (AESD) to support district and community implementation of state learning standards in mathematics, English Language Arts (ELA), and science, and the Early Learning Guidelines. The Network has steadily grown since its inception in 2013 to include more content areas and instructional leaders.
Sustain a professional learning community to support each other, problem solve, & develop resources
Collaborate as a group and with OSPI and other stakeholders to identify best practices, current research in content & pedagogy and system wide improvement
Develop statewide professional learning pedagogical content focus for the year
Increase the leadership capacity of Fellows to support district/school staff in their implementation the WSLS to effectively raise student achievement
In coordination with stakeholders, support ELA menu awareness and implementation for system wide improvement
Strengthen and increase educators’ use of evidence based K-4 literacy practices and the implementation of the Washington State ELA standards
