Week of Oct 6-10: Please complete the chapter review pages found on pgs. 101-106.  Focus on the following problems: 1, 3, 4, 7, 8, 11, 12. We will be taking the Chapter 2 test on Monday/Tuesday. Other options to review and practice the strategies taught in Chapter 2:

• Groups of review

• Array practice

• Multiplication properties sort

• Workbook pages for Chapter 2 are due this week!  Remember to staple together all of Ch. 2, including the review pages, write student name on the top page of the stapled packet, and have a parent sign the top page. 

• Here are the IXL skills that can be worked on to help review Ch. 2:

  • As a reminder, students do not have to complete every skill.  Use IXL as a tool for extra practice with a skill that your student is still working on. If you have questions, please let me know!

Week of Sept 29-Oct 3: Chapter 2 Lessons 5-7. Please focus on these pages: pgs. 87,88,93,94,99, 100. We will have our first test over Ch. 2 on October 6/7.  Please practice the multiplication strategies at home to be ready for this test.  I would recommend using the Enrich and Reteach pages found in the Ch. 2 Resources on Google Classroom.

Week of Sept 22-26:  Chapter 2 Lessons 1-4.  Please focus on having these pages completed: pgs. 63,64, 69, 70, 75,76, 81,82.  Remember, you do not have to complete every problem on the page!  The Teacher's Guide and Reteach/Enrich pages can be found on Google Classroom under the Ch. 2 Resources heading.

• Orange math folders should come to class with your child every day.  We use these folders for a variety of things in Math class.

• Chapter 1 Math workbook pages are due now.

Week of Sept. 15-19:  This week we will work on Ch. 1 Lessons 5-7.  The workbook pages that you will need to turn in at the end of the chapter are: pgs. 35, 36, 41, 42, 47, 48.

• To use the lessons at home, use the first 2 pages to teach the skill.  Work on these together.  The third and fourth pages are practice together opportunities for the student to show if they are ready to try the skill independently.  You do not have to solve every problem on these pages.  The final two pages of the lesson are for the student to work on independently. They should try to complete all of the problems on these pages.  Please check these problems and reteach skills as needed.  Please speak with me if you need to adjust any of these routines for your child.
