1. Brief description and aims of module:
This module continues from Level 5 Performance 4 to develop your performance on a principal instrument/voice in classical or jazz genres. You will pursue a continued programme of technical development with the focus on both solo contemporary repertoire and chamber/ensemble music. Chamber/ensemble pieces will be for two or more musicians from within the module cohort. You will participate in two staff directed ensembles of your choice.
The module aims to:
Expand your repertoire into challenging, advanced contemporary repertoire
Focus on advanced, small ensemble rehearsal and performance skills
2. Outline syllabus:
Each week solo repertoire will be introduced and discussed and you will have regular opportunities to perform to the group. Chamber groups will present work in progress and be coached in the workshop. Your groups will rehearse outside of workshop sessions.
