A little bit about me:
Welcome to Idaho City High School. My name is Tom Standerwick. I moved to Idaho City from Sitka Alaska, where I grew up. I am in my twentieth-first year of teaching in the Basin School District. I taught sixth grade for the first fifteen of those years. I have been a teacher for twenty-six years. I teach residential construction and wood shop for Idaho City MS/High school and 7th grade Social Studies. I coached middle school football here for 18 years. I miss that, but have filled my time with other after school activities, in the shop, for our students. Outside of school, I was a volunteer firefighter with the Idaho City Fire Department for eighteen years. I have two children that went through the Basin School District system from preschool through twelfth grade. They both graduated from Idaho City High School and b0th graduated with high honors from Boise State University. My life revolves around God, my wife Danielle, my son Jake, and daughter Nicole. After God and my family, I love hunting, fishing, camping, and canoeing at our family cottage, in Algonquin Park, Ontario Canada.

Late and Missing Work Policy
Mr. Standerwick’s MS/HS Classes 2023-24
All work must be completed and submitted by the assigned due date.
You have 14 days to turn in late or missing work.
All late and missing assignments turned in before the 14 days, but after the original due date may be subject to a reduced grade.
Assignments will not be accepted after 14 days (the gradebook will be closed for that particular assignment on the fourteenth day after that assignment's original due date)!
Do not assume that you can just redo any assignment to improve your grade. There are times when this is allowed, but you must get permission from me if you expect credit for it.
I understand that there are, on occasion, extenuating circumstances and these will be dealt with on an individual basis.
