East Hills Theater Company
EHTC is a 501(c)3 non-profit established in 2014 by Mrs. Remaly and a founding group of parent volunteers. Throughout the years, EHTC has grown in size of members and scale of show! We are fortunate to sell out almost all of our shows. Although EHTC is a Middle School theatre company, we certainly do not put on a Middle School show! It is thanks to the many volunteer parents that our set, costumes and front of house decorations immerse our audience into the show in a way you will not find anywhere else in the Lehigh Valley! EHTC Alumni go on to competitive high school choirs, lead roles in the high school, and we even have a few theatre majors, professional theatre personnel who have come from our ranks!
EHTC provides cast members with an immersive theatre education experience. Students not only learn their role, blocking, choreography and voice parts, but they also practice theatre etiquette which will carry them throughout their theatre careers. Students learn the ins and outs of blocking, dress rehearsals, stage directions, appropriate behavior, respect and hierarchy, team work, audition preparation, theatre tech, crew, lighting, sound, vocal health and much, much more! At the end of the cast party, Mrs. Remaly's desire is that each student is able to walk into any theatre audition or rehearsal process and understand the expectations and etiquette that comes with working on and back stage.
