The Broughal Wrestling Club offers students the opportunity to learn a new sport in a fun, supportive environment. In partnership with the Lehigh Valley Wrestling Club at Lehigh University, boys and girls will receive high-quality coaching from elite athletes right in the Broughal Middle School wrestling room. When available, students may also visit Lehigh University’s campus and the wrestling practice facility at Caruso Hall through a guided walking trip. Along the way, students will build physical fitness, confidence, resilience, and teamwork skills. This club also serves as a great introduction for those interested in joining the youth wrestling team (6th grade) or the middle school wrestling team (7th–8th grade).

In this club, we’ll dive into the exciting world of hands-on learning and creativity! Students will have the opportunity to work with two different types of robots, explore the world of 3D printing, and take on fun and challenging electronics projects that spark curiosity and problem-solving skills. Along the way, we’ll complete interactive challenges, experiment with new ideas, and even make a little bit of a mess, because that’s often where the best learning happens!
Whether you’re a natural tinkerer, someone who loves to create, or just curious about how things work, this club is designed for you. No experience is required, just bring your imagination, willingness to try new things, and excitement to learn. By the end, you’ll gain new skills, build confidence, and discover how much fun innovation and making can be!

Do you love to read and discuss books with your friends and classmates? Are you looking to be a part of a team? If you also love a friendly competition about books you’ve read, then Reading Olympics is for you!
Reading Olympics is a reading competition for 6th-8th grade students across the Lehigh Valley and surrounding areas. We have a list of 20 books to read for the competition, which is held at a local school in early Spring. At the competition, students compete in a team against other schools and are asked specific questions about each book. We prepare by meeting all year, participating in fun events and activities in the library, and of course reading and discussing the selected books.
The competition book list and the books are available in the library now to check out if you’d like to get a head start!

We are excited to offer your child the opportunity to participate in the Cooking Club! This club is a fun, hands-on experience where students will learn new skills, explore different recipes, and discover the joy of creating delicious meals and treats together.
Our first meeting will be on September 25th, 2025, where students will brainstorm and plan the cooking and baking activities or special events they’d like to participate in throughout the year. From sweet desserts to healthy snacks, students will have the chance to try a variety of recipes, learn teamwork in the kitchen, and build confidence while cooking.
The Cooking Club is a great way for your child to explore their creativity, develop practical life skills, and, of course, enjoy some tasty results at the end!
