Podcasts

This is a small test page to show how podcasts could be made, shared and viewed.

Apps or extensions to record on a Chromebook:

Simple Audio Recorder - this extension creates a .wav file that is saved to the downloads window, which will need to be moved to a podcast folder in Google Drive.

Voice Recorder - This extension creates a .mp3 file from a webpage that can be saved directly into the podcast folder in Google Drive.

Audio Converter - An online audio converter that can convert multiple formats to .mp3 for better use for podcast hosting

A simple podcast showcase would be links to podcast files on a Google Site, pointing to a shared Google Drive folder. I creating a showcase this way, the presenter needs only to record a new episode and save it directly in the Podcast Folder each time.

Podcast hosting can vary in many ways. Here are two examples that still utilize the podcast folder located in the individual's Google Drive.

Blogspot: A blogging website where the user can create individual blog posts and create a link in the post directing the user to the files located in their Google Drive.

Feed Burner: FeedBurner provides custom RSS feeds and management tools to bloggers, podcasters, and other web-based content publishers. This RSS feed can then be added to iTunes and apps on handheld devices.

Podcasts can also be hosted on other sites. Here is an example, signups to other sites are required
