"I Can" Statements:

I can add/subtract/multiply/divide to solve 1-step word problems involving masses or liquid volumes that are given in the same units.
I can use a ruler to measure lengths to the nearest quarter inch.

Students will identify the best unit of measurement and solve word problems using these units. For example, students need to understand that 1 gallon is more than 1 cup.
