My family and I moved to the area about eighteen years ago. Before we moved to Bellefonte, we lived in Kane, PA. My husband, Scott, and I have three sons: Andrew, Nathan, and Zachary. Although my husband and I attended Pitt, all three of our boys are Penn State guys. My oldest son lives with his wife, Morgan, and son, Asa, in the Bellefonte area. My middle son lives in Pittsburgh with his wife, Melissa, and is an Infantry Officer in the Army. My youngest son is also an officer in the Army and lives with his wife, Maddie, in Anchorage, Alasksa.
I grew up in Cambria County and went to the University of Pittsburgh for my undergraduate work. I received my Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education from Carlow College in Pittsburgh. In my spare time I love to bake, cook, and read. My husband and I are active in our church and we like to take hikes and enjoy nature. We occasionally watch the boys' dogs, Charlie and Jack, two sweet golden retrievers. Benny and Clover the Sheepadoodles hang out with us, too!
I feel very pleased and lucky to have the opportunity to teach in the Bellefonte Area School District. I taught first grade for three years and this will be my fifthteenth year teaching kindergarten. I am looking forward to working with all my new kindergarteners and families!
