A Playaway is a device that comes pre-loaded and ready to use with one audiobook per device—making them simple for you to use and your library to circulate. We have now collected about 60 playaways available for your child to check out. Before the Playaway can be checked out, both you and your child must sign the permission slip.
While assigned to the care of your child, if any damage occurs as a result of abuse, negligence, extreme temperatures, and/or mishandling, you agree to pay the replacement cost. The cost of a Playaway differs based on the length of the book but the replacement cost can range from $50-$70. Similar payment is expected in the event of theft or failure to return the Playaway.
