Welcome, Room Parents! We're thrilled that you're interested in becoming a Room Parent—or that you're already one of our amazing volunteers! Below, you'll find helpful resources to better understand your role and support your planning throughout the school year.

What is a Room Parent? 

Room Parents support your teacher with needs throughout the school year and communicate with class parents. 

Who can be a Room Parent? 

• Any parent of a student

• PTO Member (join at www.barwpto.org)

• Complete annual LHISD Background Check (this is a criminal background check only. It keeps our students & staff safe!)

Responsibilities:

Your primary responsibilities include coordinating Winter & Valentine’s parties and celebrating your teacher for their birthday & Staff Appreciation week in May. You will receive $50 from the PTO to use for the parties.
