By joining the PTO, you are able to use your voice to make an impact by deciding on how the PTO supports our school. Your membership allows you to vote on our yearly budget to determine where our PTO is needed the most. You also get first chances at volunteer signups and opportunities to help plan events.
No time? No worries! Being a member does not mean you have to be at the school all the time, so don't let this stop you from joining! There are NO requirements to join the PTO! You simply need to be a parent or a teacher of a student at Bar W and have a background check completed to volunteer whenever you are available. (Membership is good for the current school year you are registering for.)
What is a Background Check? This is a routine criminal background check only that LHISD requires for ALL campus volunteers to keep our students & staff safe!

1️⃣ Support Our School: Your membership helps fund important programs and events that benefit all our students, including yours!
2️⃣ Have a Voice: Members get to vote on key decisions and contribute to shaping our school's future, including our first PTO-sponsored fall family event - should we host a family glow dance party? 🎉 Enjoy a movie night together? 🎬 Or host a trunk or treat? 🎃 Make your voice heard and join the PTO! We want your input on how our funds should be spent, so please join today and let us know! 📝
3️⃣ Get Involved: You'll have the opportunity to sign up for a committee and other PTO-exclusive volunteering opportunities and be the first to know about upcoming events.
4️⃣ Reduced Membership Fee: The PTO Board made the decision to lower the cost of membership this year in order to provide more opportunities for more families and teachers to join. For only $10, two adults can be signed up to become PTO members! This is a one-time fee for the entire school year. Your membership dues go straight into our funds to be used for our kiddos and teachers! It's a WIN-WIN! 🙌
