Nurturing Educators: Reflective Practice, Supervision & Consultation
In today's educational landscape, the demands on teachers extend far beyond the traditional realms of teaching. At Bartles Foundry, we recognise the invaluable role educators play in shaping the future and understand the weight of the responsibilities they shoulder. They may find themselves addressing social work and mental health concerns among students, leading to feelings of burnout and attrition from the profession.
Our commitment to supporting educator well-being is unwavering. Through our bespoke reflective practice groups and supervision sessions, we offer a nurturing space for teachers to delve into the multifaceted challenges they encounter. Rooted in empathy and understanding, these sessions are designed to cultivate resilience and foster a sense of empowerment amidst the complexities of the classroom. We provide a safe space for teachers to explore the demands of their careers and develop strategies for self-care and resilience.
Furthermore, our consultations offer tailored guidance to individuals or groups seeking insights into effectively addressing the diverse needs of their students. Whether navigating behavioural dynamics or devising strategies for promoting mental well-being, our supervision offerings are designed to provide practical strategies and insights.
Nurturing Children and Families
We can provide training on mental health models and issues, for teaching staff along with tailored workshops and group interventions. These interventions can be for small groups or entire classes and cover topics like problem-solving skills, social skills training, and transitioning to high school. Alongside emotional/behaviour management interventions from a low level (e.g. mindfulness for all) to targeted interventions for children who might be at risk of exclusion.
We can offer family interventions, including multi-family groups, or parenting programmes which focuses on supporting education, as well as teaching for parents on how to make the most of professional networks for their children with special educational needs.
