Bartles Foundry is named in honour of our family's historic foundry in the heartlands of Cornwall, celebrating our heritage. It reflects the craftsmanship and innovation that shaped our local community. In the same spirit, we provide an artisan approach to assessments - offering personalised services in psychology, education, and diagnostic assessments, including autism assessments - ensuring each client is treated uniquely rather than as part of a factory line.
"We were impressed by the level of professionalism displayed and would definitely recommend the service to others knowing that they will receive outstanding service. The use of NHS guidelines for assessment and the credentials of the team members bring maximum confidence"
"Thank you for the outstanding service. I am glad that I can plan early for my child's welfare now that I know where he stands. Waiting for an assessment for years feels like a lifetime".
A multidisciplinary team consists of professionals from various fields working together to assess and support individuals. In our case, this includes a clinical psychologist and specialist teacher.
Lenia, our Education Specialist and Qualified Teacher, holds specialist qualifications in the Psychology of Education from the Institute of Education, UCL, London, and has undergone additional training as a Neurodevelopmental Assessment Practitioner. With substantial experience working with autistic children, she brings valuable educational perspectives to the assessment process.
Lenia has held leadership roles in leading prep schools and has additional experience in the state sector, including special educational needs schools. As a teacher, she is part of the 'tier 1' team within the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS), which also includes GPs and social workers. This equips her to provide general advice and treatment for less severe problems, as well as refer children to more specialised services when needed. Given the challenges many face in accessing specialist services, Lenia has played a crucial role in supporting children across the spectrum of need.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and English Literature from Roehampton University, a master’s degree in Psychology of Education from the Institute of Education, UCL, and has achieved Qualified Teacher Status through a GTP/PGCE at London South Bank University.
(Dr.) Scott has extensive experience in supporting autistic individuals and people with learning disabilities. Since 2010, he has worked in NHS learning disability and autism services and currently serves as the Principal Clinical Psychologist in a specialist Learning Disabilities and Autism team. Scott is regulated by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and is a Chartered Psychologist, meaning he is legally recognised within his specialism and trusted to deliver the highest standards of care to those who need services.
Scott holds a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Human Rights from Roehampton University, a master’s degree in Intellectual Disabilities and Developmental Disorders from the Tizard Centre, University of Kent, and a Professional Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the University of East London.
He is also a practising member of the UK Society for Behaviour Analysis, a professional body accredited by the Professional Standards Authority. His expertise includes conducting detailed assessments, developing tailored support plans, and working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care for autistic individuals and people with developmental conditions or learning disabilities.
