Welcome to Third Grade at HES!
Communication
Our main mode of communication will be through Remind. You can download the app onto your smartphone, access it from a computer, or opt to receive the messages sent to your email. Teachers will send weekly messages regarding upcoming events, due dates, important reminders, etc. Please also check your child's Wednesday folder each week for graded work and important announcements.
Homework
Students are expected to read 20 minutes each night from a book of their choosing. Research has shown daily independent reading to be one of the most important factors in predicting student success in school. Please encourage your child to read daily and ask questions about what he/she is reading!
Students are also expected to practice math facts for 10 minutes each day. A variety of fun ideas for practicing math facts will be sent home for your student to choose from after our first APTT meeting.
