Opportunities for interdisciplinary collaboration.
What is a co-collaboration cycle?
Co-Collaboration Cycles are opportunities within the common planning schedule for teachers to collaborate with colleagues of other disciplines to find naturally aligned opportunities within their courses to design and deliver co-taught experiences for students. Cycles consist of three alignment and design sessions for grade-level and individual humanities teams to get together to co-create interdisciplinary lessons.

What is an alignment session?
Alignment sessions are the first step in the humanities co-collaboration cycle. During this time, the grade-level humanities team will come together to update current progress and discover potential areas of alignment for co-teaching.
What is the goal of alignment sessions?
For grade-subject humanities teams to share ideas and experiences of co-teaching, discuss upcoming common assessments, and find areas of alignment in both content areas that can be used to co-design and co-deliver lessons to connect the disciplines and increase the value of instruction.
Step 1: Humanities Pairs Update
Step 2: Discuss Upcoming Common Tasks
Step 3: Look For Areas of Alignment in Content
Design Sessions
Cluster humanities pair collaboration time.
Cycle 1 - April 27, May 3
Cycle 2 - May 17, 25
Cycle 3 - June 8, 14
What is a design session?
Design sessions are opportunities for cluster co-teaching pairs to work together to design lessons based on the identified areas of alignment found during the alignment sessions. During this time, teachers may work together to create a shared space, co-design lessons, decide upon co-teaching strategies, or co-assess student work.
What is the goal of design sessions?
For teaching pairs to use design thinking to co-create lessons from each of their curricula to connect concepts and to add value to teaching and learning within the learning community.
