VIKINGS SELECTED TO PLAY IN HALL-OF-FAME CLASSIC
The Bar-Reeve Vikings have been selected by the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame to participate in the prestigious Raymond James Hall-of-Fame Classic. The event will be played at New Castle Chrysler Arena on Wednesday, December 30th. The Vikings will play Fort Wayne Blackhawk Christian in the second game. BLACKHAWK CHRISTIAN STOPS VIKINGS AT STATE
INDIANAPOLIS — There is an old saying, "Sometimes you get the bear, and sometimes the bear gets you." On Saturday morning, the bear was the Fort Wayne Blackhawk Christian Braves — and they were a hungry Grizzly, as Blackhawk (28-2) proved to have just too many weapons in their 60-43 win over Barr-Reeve (26-3) in the Class A State Championship at Bankers Life Fieldhouse. NEXT STOP FOR VIKINGS IS BANKER'S LIFE AFTER SEMI-STATE WIN OVER BLOOMFIELD
It doesn't matter where the Barr-Reeve Vikings (26-2) have to play at semi-state, the next game is normally at Bankers Life Fieldhouse. And that pattern held true again on Saturday, as Barr-Reeve dominated Bloomfield with a 65-39 win in the Hatchet House to win the southern semi-state title.
