My name is Lance Boston, and I currently serve as the Director of Special Programs, District Safety Coordinator, and Director of Law Enforcement Services for Bardstown City Schools in Bardstown, KY. I am in my 17th year of public education and currently in my 11th year in a district leadership capacity. Even on the more challenging days, I love what I do, and I am grateful to be in a position to serve others. I also recently had the privilege of beginning to teach classes at the graduate level. I am a cancer and heart failure survivor who recognizes each day is a gift. When I am not working, I enjoy spending my time with my wife, Mary, and our three daughters, Morgan (13), Laina (11), and Josie (7), reading, working out, and being active in our church.

I hope that this website allows you to get to know me on a deeper level than possible through a resume or cover letter. I am by no means perfect, and I still have a long way to "grow" as a leader. However, I deeply desire to serve my community and make this world a bit better than before I got here. I truthfully and humbly feel that the best way I can do that is through the gifts God has given me in humor, building strong relationships, communication, and leadership.
