Three memorial scholarship applications are now available to eligible seniors, each with specific eligibility requirements and guidelines. These scholarships are awarded in memory by their respective families to the applicant who embodies the spirit, talents, and interests of their loved ones.
Tariq Farmer Armour Memorial Scholarship - DEADLINE March 21
The Tariq Farmer Armour Memorial Scholarship Fund was created by his mother Tonia Farmer Coleman, family, friends, classmates, and the community to celebrate the life of Tariq Farmer Armour and to remember his exceptional spirit during his brief 18 years of life. Tariq was a 2017 graduate of Bardstown High School where he excelled as an athlete in track and football. He was a leader among his peers and was a giving and fun-loving person, best known for his dazzling smile and infectious laugh. Before his death, Tariq accepted a scholarship from Georgetown College to play football. The Tariq Farmer Armour Memorial Scholarship is dedicated to continuing his spirit of encouragement for student-athletes at Bardstown High School.

Keaton Hall Memorial Scholarship - DEADLINE MARCH 21
Keaton Joseph Hall, 24, of Bardstown, KY passed away on December 20, 2015, after a fatal car accident. He was born in Ypsilanti, Ml on September 28, 1991, to Bryan and Marlene
Hall. Keaton graduated from Bardstown High School and went on to receive a Bachelor's Degree in Agricultural Economics at the University of Kentucky. He loved to play sports and was an avid UK fan.
Dearly loved by his family and friends, the Keaton Hall Memorial Scholarship Fund was established in his memory to award an annual scholarship to a deserving student-athlete from Bardstown High School. During his time at Bardstown, Keaton lettered in basketball, baseball, golf, and football, ultimately being named most outstanding senior male athlete. He graduated in the top five of his senior class with a 3.82 GPA. Keaton made friends beyond measure and people were naturally drawn to his quiet demeanor and warm gentle nature. Keaton's wit, charm, and wonderful sense of humor will be forever missed.

Samantha Netherland Memorial Scholarship - DEADLINE MARCH 21
Paper copies of the Samantha Netherland Memorial Scholarship are available in the counseling office for interested seniors; the scholarship is offered in memory of exceptional BHS vocal music student, Samantha Netherland. Applications must be submitted on or before 3:00 pm on March 21, 2024.
Samantha was a brilliant student who had been accepted to the Gatton Academy at WKU, where she would have completed high school and begun her college career the following year as an 11th grader. She was quiet, shy, and kind to everyone. She loved animals and the arts and possessed a particular interest and exceptional talent in vocal music. Her family offers this scholarship each year to honor her. Samantha’s kind and gentle spirit will never be forgotten.
