At Bardstown City Schools, we are a vibrant diverse community of students, educators and staff who all look for innovative opportunities, seek out challenges and relentlessly strive for excellence. We do things The Bardstown Way. It’s a century old tradition of learning and living that reflects our core values, our culture and our traditions; and guides our work to prepare students for their next phase of life.
We believe an education must be personalized – developing the heart, mind and body of every child. Through innovative teaching and offerings, our students enjoy their education journey and are better prepared for their future.
Relationships are at the heart of Bardstown City Schools. As tigers, we love and support one another. Our staff members know each student by name and often know their family, making it possible to support students in ways that reach beyond the classroom. This personal approach, paired with comprehensive programming and opportunities for involvement beyond the classroom at all grade levels, gives students a unique and fulfilling educational experience.
BCS is a proud vibrant community. Not only do we embrace diversity, we celebrate it. Our students come from many backgrounds and cultures. We serve families that speak 12 different languages. Through special education and gifted and talented programs, we help ensure that students are provided with services and opportunities that help them advance to their highest levels. Our school community is focused on growing students into ethical global citizens that can demonstrate empathy, compassion, and respect for others.
We strive for excellence in all that we do from academics to athletics and the arts.
